The graduate level course begins with a brief summary of general reproductive endocrinology. This section is added to provide a basic introduction. For those students with a better background, it may serve as a brief review.
The second part of this course discusses the molecular aspects of hormone action in chronological order: hormone receptor interactions, second messenger generation, gene induction, and post-transcriptional control. At the third part, selected topics on molecular studies in fish reproductive endocrinology are covered.
